Who is Dawn Wong?

Dawn, a mum who lives in Wimbledon. I gave up my professional career to take care of my children, but ending up working even harder in a variety of side gigs which were much more rewarding than my previous career and more community focussed, including Swing Dance, sourdough baking, craft classes for kids and comedy shows.

Navigating life as a new mum and finding your identity after giving up your professional career. Taking on jobs and activities that keep you engaged, fulfilled and healthy. Carving out time for yourself and giving back to the community.

Dawn talks about:

  • Who am I – Dawn is Singaporean who moved to the UK for university, after a corporate career which saw her live in Scotland, and Australia with her husband.
  • Navigating motherhood and marriage and leaving her job to focus on her family instead of maintaining their dual income.
  • Hobbies that  keep you alive and healthy, ending up monetising them and giving back to the community.
  • Never saying no to any opportunity and discovering such a pivot in your life might be more fun than you thought!
