How To Clear Anxiety –
Anxiety can come in many forms – it might be triggered by feelings or thoughts. It can manifest as panic attacks or heart palpitations, an intense feeling as if you’re going to die. Sweaty palms, agoraphobia or a total switch off to cope.
However it manifests in you, follow these simple actions to clear it.
Name how you feel – this creates a separation from the challenging feelings or thoughts and stops you reacting to it.
Notice where that feeling or thought is in you – so you’re fully validating and giving space to the expression of that feeling, and wherever it’s coming from, the root cause.
This is like listening to a friend offload.
Trust the process and do the actions that release the anxiety.
It’s natural to react to thoughts and emotions but watch out for reacting, stay present with the sensations instead.
Follow the sensations in you, let your body guide you. Don’t think just follow.
Relax your body and breathe. This allows the challenging feelings to express and release, like letting air out of a balloon.
Soften and deep slow breathing. This also addresses the number one side-effect of distress, which is tension.
Watch out for the monkey mind. This is a distraction and will take you away from healing. Stay in the physical body.
Releasing the root cause so anxiety can’t return- describe your challenging feelings and ask where are those descriptions in you? Or where are they in your life? Not the problem itself but the description of them.
